Today, the United States is in an opioid crisis. These medications are often prescribed to manage severe post-operative pain.
While oral surgery can be quite uncomfortable., there are many modalities to manage the pain in a safe manner.
One of the most convincing statistics is that teens who receive opioid pain medications to treat postoperative pain during oral surgery have a 2.7-fold higher chance of overdose with opioids later in life, relieve pain and pain, and are far less risky as opioids.
These include over-the-counter and prescription medicines as well as opium-free injectable medicines. These are used at the surgical site and are designed to enter your body over a longer period of time to provide lasting pain relief and reduce the need for potentially dangerous drugs.

I highly recommend this clinic. I had an appointment with Dr. Fred Pedroletti, where he clarified my doubts and... explained everything about my condition. I set a date for my tooth extraction, and naturally, I was a bit nervous about it. On the day, the first thing the doctor did was play a Jack Johnson cd on the background. He assured me that it will be fine, and explained the process again. I started to feel confident and relaxed. After the surgery, I received messages to check if I was recovering fine. The office has patient parking so no pay by phone is needed. It is very easy to find and I like the location because... its quiet and safe. The front staff were very professional and friendly. I got four teeth extracted by Dr. Pedroletti and I can say that the doctor and his team do an incredible job at making... you feel comfortable and informed. They are all professional, knowledgeable and kind. I went in feeling nervous and worried but they quickly put my mind at ease. You can tell they are very experienced and that they love their patients and what they do. My recovery has been much better than I could of ever expected all thanks to an amazing job done by the doctor and his team. My son required Oral surgery to remove 4 wisdom teeth and 1 additional tooth. Not only was it during the Holidays but... the week of Christmas no less. I visited your office for a consultation with Dr. Layne who was referred to me by my dentist Dr. Luger. The process of... booking the appointment, the kind reminders and the actual experience of visiting the office was quite exceptional. I did not have to wait because I was able to complete my medical history online so I was shown in for x-rays and to meet Dr. Layne immediately. I found all the personnel at the office to be very professional and courteous. Dr. Layne himself was very informative, professional and very pleasant. While I still have to decide between the options that he gave me and actually have a procedure done in your office, I feel confident that whatever I decide, it will be done in the best possible way by Dr. Layne and his staff. I had my lower left wisdom tooth removed this morning. It literally was next to painless and took less than 45 minutes... from prep to finish. Dr. Jerry M. My 16 year old son needed to have his wisdom teeth removed. I didn't know Dr. Pedroletti but I chose him because of his... excellent reviews. I can confirm that he is truly OUTSTANDING -- as a doctor and a human being. He even called me the night of the procedure to check on my son and left his cell phone number in case we had any questions! I could not recommend him more highly or enthusiastically! I am 58 years old and had my wisdom tooth removed yesterday. I drove over two hours to see Dr. Layne as he took great... care of my husband a few years back for his dental procedure. This Dr. is amazing. He truly cares about his patients. You don't often see the combination of a highly skilled surgeon with incredible bedside manners. He truly cares about his patients. I felt comfortable with my procedure as I knew I was in the best of hands. I am truly grateful to Dr. Layne and his staff as the procedure was a breeze and I felt very little pain afterwards. His assistant was so pleasant and informative. My appointment was at 1:15 and we were driving home by 2:30. On top of that I got a call that evening to see how I was doing. Dr Layne and most of his staff I would recommend completely. Dr Layne is a professional who does great work and has... great follow-up care as well. However the woman in the front (I believe her name is Patti) is rude and does not appear to assist with insurance benefits. They did not want to follow what my insurance company asked for them to provide which was data that procedure was to be medically necessary and instead choosing to charge me full price for a procedure that could have been covered. If issue gets resolved I will amend the review but for now I don't believe they were looking out for patient benefit, only to charge more up front.read more

My son had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed. This office was amazing. Professional, on time, courteous, knowledgeable... and went above and beyond with my son. Dr. Pedroletti was awesome. We had a great experience with both staff and the doctor. The staff was wonderful, despite the fact that I came in... unprepared and had not completed their online forms . They were patient and efficient with practically no wait time at all. The doctor explained everything, was kind, thorough and patient. He answered all of our questions patiently.
